FAQ • Drivie Taxi Rentals
Frequently Asked Questions
Practical answers about renting taxis, pricing, insurance, liability, and inspections.
Important: Insurance and liability are driver-dependent. Always confirm your coverage and compliance obligations before operating.
Who can rent a taxi from Drivie?
Approved drivers who complete identity + license verification and meet local regulatory requirements. If your verification is pending, you can browse pricing but may be limited from confirming rentals.
Is insurance included in the rental price?
Insurance and liability arrangements are driver-dependent. Some drivers operate under their own commercial coverage, while others may arrange coverage via third parties. Always confirm your coverage (and permitted use) before starting a rental.
Who is responsible for tickets, fines, or violations?
The driver is responsible for all traffic tickets, fines, toll violations, and any penalties incurred during the rental period, unless local law requires otherwise.
What happens if there is an accident or damage?
Stop safely, follow local reporting requirements, and notify the company immediately. Liability depends on the driver’s insurance and the agreed terms. Document the incident with photos and a brief description.
Do I need to do inspections?
Yes. You may be asked to complete pickup and return inspections (photo/video evidence). This protects both the driver and the company by documenting condition and mileage at handover.
Can I cancel a rental request?
Yes. Cancellation rules depend on the booking status and timing. If a request is already approved or the car is prepared, cancellation may result in administrative handling or limitations. Use the Driver dashboard to manage requests.
How is the price calculated?
Pricing is set by admin per car. The calculator uses the car’s admin rates (hourly/weekly), enabled extras, and tax. You only choose dates/times — the rest is controlled by the company.
What documents do I need?
Typically: valid driving license, ID, and any taxi/commercial driver authorization required by your jurisdiction. Your admin may request additional documentation for compliance.
What about fuel and daily operating costs?
Fuel, charging, and routine operating expenses are typically the driver’s responsibility unless your specific agreement states otherwise.
How do I contact support quickly?
Use the Contact button in the header to open the support form. It will open your email client — no server needed.
